We high fived, placed my hand on the arm rest of his chair and he sort of held my hand for a good 10 seconds or more. It made me feel shy and awkward so I pulled it away. He even stood next to me and our shoulders brushed together. I have a faint sliver of hope that he remembers that day.
The memory is stark in my head and somehow, that is enough.
